As for your comments on the UN, well.. you are almost correct on one account..
...This being said, can you imagine Roosevelts reaction to President Bush and his total lack of respect towards the UN's decision on this subject? It makes it all the worse in my books, that the UN, an International Co-ordination founded by an American President is so totally dis-regarded by President Bush. And don't go off saying that this was the actions of one man (Bush) because I saw plenty of discussions online on forums just like these where Americans were hating on the French because they wouldnt yeild on the decision.
And yes, the minority don't speak for the majority, as is life... However, I was addressing people on this forum, whose attitudes were pompous and arrogant regarding America and its supposed might.

Apparently you don't read either, because I never said "you said" Austrailia was perfect. I was making a point ABOUT Austrailia, there is a difference but I guess you didn't catch that. It was a rhetorical question. Taking my statement as an attack, is your fault. I'm glad you're reading up on the UN, at least you'll get your facts straight. And yes, President Bush went against the UN, but how many times in UN history has people gone against its wishes? How many times is the Geneva Convention been broken. America has been very independent of other countries thought and such when it comes to home, and that I agree. So disreagarding the UN is not new, if it was America would be ousted from its postion.
I really see no point in your lastest post. you skimmed through information to find something to support your idea, which seems to me a weak argument. Don't get me wrong, I'm not for war at all, I in fact am a non-violent protester. So I'm not arguing about why we went to war, because I think it was incorrect. I'm asking you about your orginal post. You had lots of good opinions, but I feel were backed up unjustly. I guess your first post was made in anger about somethings said in this thread, but generalizing everyone and pointing out flaws which you're own country has, seems pretty arrogant.
I guess it's time for another cliche, "don't speaks in others eye until you realize the log in your own."
