Yes, it may have been a rhetorical question, however... it implied that that is what I said. There is the difference- My retort was directed at those who outwardly profess Americas supremacy. You cannot deny these people exist. But I did not say all Americans, I said too many Americans.
As for apparently sounding arrogant pointing out flaws that Australia indeed has, well... Im not telling people Australia is the most powerful Nation in the World, Australia controls the Worlds Political Arena, Australia is above and beyond any other Nation.. am I? If I were, then by all means, Id be an arrogant ass... (omg, this means that Americans saying it about the States makes them arrogant! Who would have thought... hmmm wasnt that the message in my original thread?).
Thanks for proving my point on that.
Trust me Jes, I am aware of Australias flaws, I live here.
And yes, my original post was made out of anger. Because Im sooooo tired of this attitude. And Im not alone, Australia isnt alone. Its unfortunate, because America is a beautiful country, I thoroughly enjoyed living there.
As for the UN, I am familiar with the UN. Combined with my studies, and having an ex boyfriend in the American military, still serving in Iraq this day, whom I am in regular contact with- I do know a bit about whats been going on over there the last 12 months. I just couldnt be half assed typing the information when I can paste it from the UN site. Im not even going to bother replying to your statement regarding how many times the UN's decisions have been dis-regarded, because I believe you to possess enough intelligence to know that two wrongs don't make a right.
And please, re-type that cliche so it makes sense.
