Is there another country that can compare with the international aid provided by the United State? NO! Not by a long shot. We are hated in the world for various reasons, our current hate from the Islamic extremist are more substantiated in our equality for woman than any thing else. How can a country that oppresses women and denies freedoms not hate the US? In this country a woman can become president, and it is very likely that we will see one in our life time. Do you even know how much a threat that is to the extremist? A huge one, one they can not accept. The west in general is hated by most the world, female leadership is very apparent and growing. Heaven forbid that the equality movement hit the middle east. Look at the Arab worlds biggest enemy Isreal, in the backyards of the arab community Isreali woman are free and treated as equals. Isreali women are fre to chose who they have a relationship with, where they get thei education and every other freedom a woman has in the free world. Yet right next door, often in the same community Muslim women are hacked apart by male family members because they had a relationship with a guy the family considers unworthy. Often these "honor killings" as they are called in that part of the world go unpunished, in few cases some murderers are giving a six month sentence. Come on you can hack apart your sister because she is seeing someone you don't want her to. How can we look monsterous as a Nation? Hate for america and the west is deeply planted in the realization that freedoms breed awareness. Someone who is aware is a great threat to the oppresive fabric of "religous rule"... In a counrty were you can be executed for praying in public (christain prayer), and this does not only imply on the street, but also a group prayer in your own home... Why are we seen as the root evil here, when it's obvious that evil is seen and heard in every unspoken word of those nations...
