aight...sum of the producers prolly know bout this n others might discourage it......but for those who don't care or jus startin out, here's a good secret for findin melodies and hooks if u got sum the time.

go to Google and type what u lookin for followed by 'MIDI'.

ex: carnival music midi

u can load MIDI's straight into fruityloops. i recommend u copy the sections of the melody u want to work with right out of the piano roll and then open a new track and paste the copied section into it. The reason is that many midi files can come with hidden instructions like resetting the tempo to a specific rate every time u play the track n it's hard to get rid of these instructions. Copying just the note sequence to a new track will solve this problem.

There are thousands, if not millions of MIDI files available on the net for free downloadin n it's a great way to get classical string riff's n such. when u find MIDI links, just right-click and save target as.
