When music finally hit, I'll admit, it was heavy metal and guitar solos...
Ozzy preached suicide, Megadeth genocide as anger haunted this Virgo.
Then rap broke through bringin somethin new, I saw the genre's inception...
And I could relate ta all the hate that one cat spit with aggression...
MC Ice-T was rap obscenity years before Eminem brought controversy...
So the P.M.R.C. stickered an O.G.'s CD's for tryin ta cop kill bureaucracy.
He opened a door, left me floored but faded, so I left rap for awhile...
But I returned when my ears were burned by DMX and Shady's styles.
Never caught Bigg and Pac, I was too busy Manson and Zombie listenin...
Wasn't Hypnotized by Papa's flows or even The Rose, cuz I didn't know what I was missin.
Now I'm on board catchin up on tha score, dedicated ta rhymin lines...
Rap's a true callin that keeps me from fallin, but eats at me like strychnine.
Cuz I wanna get betta, elevate, but I really ain't got the time...
I put my family first, my deepest influence, and to them I dedicate this rhyme.
