The problem is that many people diversify by race, and the minute people start adding limitations to characteristics then all Hell breaks loose. Black music is probably the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Hip-Hop is for everyone. Mos Def says it best:
We are Hip-Hop. Me, You, Everybody.
The very instant you bring in a characteristic as a limiting factor, that is when the whole group is brought down. Who gives a shit about race really? I mean, we have whites in Hip-Hop: Eyedea, Slug, Aesop Rock, El-P. We have blacks in Hip-Hop: Talib, Mos Def, KRS. Hip-Hop also has albinos, Hispanics, oriental descent, and even people from France and Switzerland are into Hip-Hop. So to just say that Hip-Hop is Black Music and everyone else are nothing but followers and must adhere to certain rules set by the blacks is blatantly retarded and even more blatantly racist. Wake up and realize that Hip-Hop is bigger than the flesh. It is all about expressing emotion. Hip-Hop is people music, and quite frankly, anyone that wants to participate in it is more than welcome to. I don't care. If they are good at what they do, then by all means let them do it.

I'm white. I don't like Eminem. I think that what he said was extremely racist and went beyond the borders of anger towards an ex-girlfriend. So again, you make a generalized, stereotypic assumption that the face beyond the posts in favor of Eminem are white, and those against him are black. Open up your eyes. Stop screaming racism when in fact, you are expressing racism yourself.
Whites are not the only racists in this world, and I have been discriminated against many times by blacks in my life. My two best friends are black and live in an all black community, and I remember vividly how I used to be called a cracker and white trash whenever I went to go play ball with them as a kid. So whites aren't the only ones that are racist.
I'm getting so sick and tired of this fucking white/black barrier/war that has been going on for the past 500 years. We all need to wake up, realize that everyone is a human being, and no physical appearance should limit anyone in ability or participation.
Do you realize that now they have college scholarships strictly for blacks? Some that are strictly for Hispanics? Programs that are strictly for gays? Organizations that hold a purpose strictly for women? These organizations are out for the betterment of a certain group, and even though they may hold a cause that is well-intended, what about the people they discriminate against? The women's organization portrays men as evil, they give rfuge to battered housewives. What about the men who get battered by the wives? What organization do they go to for help? Nothing is designed for them; specifically for them at least.
We spend so much time attacking the hatred of the different that we don't realize we are only isolating them more and creating more barriers with programs designed strictly for a certain group. Let's strive for the common good......not just one function of society.
