That list should suffice pretty well. The rest is up to your ears...
In cool edit...do this technique to your vocals:
1. record
2. normalize to 95% (not decibles, use percentages)
3. parametric equalizer (mess around with it till you gtet clear vocals)
4. noise reduction
5. dynamics processing; very fast attack, 4:1, -24db
6. normalize to 100%
That should help you out until you get the cash to go all out and get a pro studio in yuor basement.
