MIDI (Music Instrument Digital Interface) is the format for programmed music files. Like instead of using a recorded sample from a cd, mp3, etc...u can also make music by laying out a note sequence in software and having a computer or sound modul play the music.

If u search for jazz midi in google u'll find sum free midi's. Download one to your comp n play it in Windows Media Player. What your hearin isn't a recorded piece of music....Windows Media Player is reading the note sequence stored in the MIDI file and using sounds stored on u'r comp's sound card to play the sequence.

If ur lookin to work wit vocals....ignore the midi part of ya program. It will be mostly useless to u.
