This one is garbage - I live in the region & the negative implications are far and few. . The media did play the shit out of the story, though.

So basically you are telling me that the poulation was not terrorized as the media portrayed it? Implications far and few? Were there not children fearing for thier life, thier parents life. I reside in Cali, and from way out here I was kind of bugged about filling up my tank. During that ordeal, every time I had to gas up the ride, I thought of those people being terrorized. If it can have an imapct on me here, how are you going to tell me children in that area were not affected? We have no clue as to what portion of thier young and developing minds were blocked, damaged or stressed. These types of psycological set backs are hard to measure, to disprove them proves even more so difficult. We can have a creative child, who once expossed to similar situations, no longer shows a creative strength. Many avenues in a childs mind are sensitive to outside factors. The fusealble links in a developing mind can be damaged by such terror. We really do not know how many children were affected by the event. Unless you are willing to tell me that no child was adversly afected by the situation. I couldn't make that claim becuase my own daughter had worries about me going to the gas station! Could you?
