Unless you are willing to tell me that no child was adversly afected by the situation. I couldn't make that claim becuase my own daughter had worries about me going to the gas station! Could you?

If every possible scenario of developmental progress is going to be raised, then I need to be put to death for wearing my pants too low. . Obviously, you are coming from a different standpoint & with a different sort of ammunition than myself; but, I don't believe that there was an abundance of developmental damage to our prescious children's brains. This is a lose-lose argument, though, so allow me to concede now. If I had a child, it would be a completely different scenario, I'm sure.
