Link is skilled most definitely, but from my understanding he showed very little loyalty towards TS after Pun died. Apparently he thought TS would die with Pun and that Joe couldn't keep it afloat without his fat companion. So he bailed. This lack of loyalty to crew makes it real difficult for me to see Fat Joe as the bad guy in this situation.
