^That is talking about the way he lives. Aesop isn't a rich man. He has said multiple times how we has to scramble to pay rent. This is hinting at the facts that he isn't a rich man, in fact, he is often times poor. So poor he can't afford some of the luxaries in life. This one was an easy section.

^This is saying basically. Although some may perceive it SLIGHTLY different. The blatant message behind it is that nothing has the fairy tale ending.

^This is basically saying. You gotta roll with the punches. Even though your dealt a bad hand you have to "swallow" with "a teaspoon full of sugar" to paraphrase.

^This speaks of his diversity. He is saying how he likes doing things his way and different from everyone. Another easy message.
