A Born Identity

Past
A simple boy, Just turned thirteen
Hell i had even made the baseball team
Lost and confused in a cold world
Just looking for a stupid little girl
Blonde hair, Blue eyes, Fair skin
But i dont know where to begin
Taking a left at jackson street
Three houses down, is where we meet
Now there is nothing to fret
Who is she, i need to know, yet
I cant seem to see her anymore

Present
See when i was just ten years old
I came across a book and in it, it told
About a boy who is not really a girl
As i read on, my mind begins to swirl
The scaples slice smoothly threw skin
Yet no blood comes out or goes in
This isnt right but i am drawn to it
And its not like my parents give a shit

Future
I've just turned twenty one
Looking back i see nothing
Nothing that i could have done
To change the way things unfolded
I made the book my life and lived
The past eleven years was a lie
And in all honesty i wanted to die
The book gave me something to live for
Something more then this world
And all of the bullshit in it
Yesterday i was Tom Ryan
twentyone years old and dead
Today im known as Jessica Ryan
Dad i want to thank you for the book
Because of that, my identity was born
