Here stands a still statue, lay the soldier infused in taboo,
see the skull imprinted with failure, along with his tattoos.
Uncanny how he's standing, his head's slumped in shame,
step once, step twice, disturbing dew drops and the rain.
The cracked asphalt held cloaked deeds and standing sin,
metallic motions matching the main function of mannequins.
His feelings rest across his chest, encased in his rib cage,
all the dreams from the NBA reduced to this min. wage....
But where the sin lay, burned in focus the truth delivered,
splinters and fragments having tales of summer and winter.

Delay this sinner, allow the passage for this poor moron,
don't make this empty shell stationary, for time to gorge on.

Create a winner, focus through the bad memories of a casket,
allow the net of pain to be swished away by the cracked basket.
Remember these past matches, in the way I know that you do?
Remember the occassion with the tricks and flips I showed you?
Woah dude, don't let go and don't sit here weeping lost tears,
try to remember the ghost in the ways of our long gone years.

Giving up, something you never did man, not when I played,
I always wondered, why when I told you to run you stayed.
Those were the good days, aye, when we weren't hiding;
I left this on your answering machine so you could find me.
Remember, it's my fault, not yours that we forgot the ball,
and even to my captors, I'm glad the guards gave me one call.

That's you man. I gotta go.
