1. After you get 500 posts you get the chance to change your rank above the avatar, or you have to PM alldig with a good reason but usually only Mods with less than 500 get that privilege.

2. Yes after a 100 posts you can have a custom avatar as long as it follows the guidlines (120 pixels x 120 pixles ) and ( 20000 bytes)..
