i've been told that sucking venom from a wound is one of the worst things that you can do. it makes it much more likely for the person "sucking the venom" to die from the poison than it does the bitten victim.

your best bet: when you are in "the great outdoors", bring a cellphone (or 2) and a snake bite/first-aid kit with you. chuuuuch.
