Alcatrakz - I think this woulda been so much doper if you spead up the tempo just a little bit. Also that synth noise was wierd. I didnt like it. On the intro your drums shoulda came in 4 beats before they did. Plus there was absolutely no base besides the kick. This was not your best. The chopping was good and I really liked the switch up with filtered drums.

Mind Theory - better sample choice. love that snare. It shoulda been a little louder tho. Same with the synth. If your levels were adjusted better this would sound hard hitting, but your mix is blah. also that piano roll was cut off way too abruptly. I was feelin the bell. Overall the beat was tight but needed a lot better mixing. You coulda switched it up a little more.

Each of you had the elements of a great beat but didnt utilize them to your fullest potential. I think overall Mind Theory had a better beat based soley on the fact that I actually got into listening to it. AlcaTrakz beat was too slow, and you really didn't put a whole lot of creativity into it. Mind Theory fell victim to his mixing. Since his downfall was really on a technical level I gave this to him.

Vote - Mind Theory
