I saw a lot of the people trying to escape, the more
I saw the more my heart breaked,
I could feel their desperation through the window glass
Wishing that they had been looked past.
I pray to God everyone has the strength to outlast
The unyielding strength of compassion and despair
come together now to show how much people care.
You have to start over again, maybe this time it will be
better my friends.
To those who have lost and never lived, to those who
need a clean slate to forgive.
We all cry and cry and wish we it could be a mistake
but one glimpse on TV and we realize a fate.
Realizing something bigger than us out there,
that can take away everything we hold so dear.
What don’t kill you makes you stronger, and if it
is your time to go,
may you have peace and suffer no longer.
Listen carefully to the voice inside, give it another
chance to try.
A chance to befriend someone you’ve never thought you
would,
A chance to reevaluate the life you wish you should.
