Church & state need to be permanently and forcefully seperated. . It's become kosher to have church-sanctioned/state-sanctioned/government-sanctioned weddings, thus mixing two volatile elements not meant to be mixed. Blah, I accept either decision & rue the day that the religious wing of the right rules our land (circa 2000 ).
