One Battle
Waiting in grass waiting above my head
while I lie inside this silent but deadly bed
Fed with revenge because of families dead.
The enemy approaches while like tigers we wait,
Fate's irony is meeting us for a tet a tet date.
They came here because they are true?
The hell do they think? That this country is new?
One shot two shot 3 shot and four,
Their blood is on their heads in this war.
We will fight for our beliefs which will help our union,
Leave us to our farming and food with our oxen.
We are not uneducated for we make ourselves live,
We give our children the food and the right perspective
Of life and how it works in the ways we want least,
We have our food, water, and shelter, we do not need a feast.
One War
Their practices are corrupt and we must save these people,
Cowards hide in grass and their horses' steeple.
Our men sent home in boxes like standard shipping mail,
No matter how many times we shoot we always fail.
These fuckers will realize we will never hold forces back,
We may live in shacks but we will never fall back.
Pushed inside the door of houses that will soon fall,
Walls of manure and dirt on the floors and we made the wrong call?
We came to help and so they shoot will relentless remorse,
Our plan to free these people keeps taking the wrong corse.
We try to communicate but they think of us as invaders,
Plans of stopping killers and all of the death dealers.
Two Perspectives
Two perspectives in mens' eyes which cause fights in life,
One man's bullet may not kills another man's knife.
One battle and one war appear different to some,
You can look on it with joy or sadness wherever your from.
People don't see that war tears worlds apart,
No matter if they reason to fight is pride or comes from the Lord's heart.
Why must we determine our future through complications of desire,
to try and get what we want by paying men for hire?
We say peace is the best way, so we design weapons of mass destruction,
Only Iraq involved? Nah that's just the government's projection.
Amazing that people know what's best for a country in times of need,
But then when help arrives to help feed and breed for a better tomorrow,
They shoot and fights and then spend the next 20 years in sorrow.
