The glisten in his eyes making me smile,
while he's controlling the wheel-riding down the Nile
mother nature tears splashing on the hard concrete
of the streets and I can feel in my stomach his lil feet’s.
any minute this baby will be eating the fruits of life,
with full of love and guidance till the day he dies.
Can't wait to see his eye's, I hope its like his father's
blue'ish like the skies-symbolizes that he'll go farther.
But the dead end comes to quick-the brakes hit,
horn blaring but it doesn't helps-Metals starts to split
in my mind, I'm foreshadowing the pain I'm going to feel,
my skin is lynching, I'm turning to an banana that’s peel(ing)
off its outer layer of life, every inch of it leaks in red,
finally the catastrophe stops, my vision is a blur, I c this head
that’s limping against the steering wheel-tears starts 2 shed.
My mind quickly jumps, the pulse in my veins pops out,
"the baby!", I grip my stomach with so much force- I shout
"Good God the baby!". Sirens blaring near and voices yelling,
"Ma'am we're going to get you through-" a voice interrupts my hearing
"Bartholomew" goose bumps takes over my arm "Baby-Bartholomew"
Laying on the stretcher-mother nature tears hitting my wounds,
and I pull my chin up, I see my husband standing in the wetness dew.
