I think he means to re do the verse.
If you aren't satisfied with what you record then you can re do it. Try to listen to your emotion, flow, presence, quality, etc... from a neutral standpoint. If you never heard it before would you bump it again?

What I do, if I get my shit sounding to what I think is good the first time is mute the track in which my vocals are and record them over in a different track, then compare the two

no yall, i think what he meant was go over it again on top of the verse he just recorded, so u hear him spitting overtop of his own verse, and yeah... thats alot of mc's secret way of increasing presence on a track...
