~~Precious Smoke~~
IP: F005 00C3
This is just a song my crew is working on (written by me), we have performed it only once and got mixed reviews, I was just looking for feedback. I want to see if I can get my message across using a common denominator. I submit this respectfully and appologise for any misconceptions caused by the material...
Precious Smoke " Precious Smoke that you give me Naturally balance and fulfill me Did I hear someone say it’s “Ganja Time?” Take a toke of the Precious Smoke; you know it’s on your mind It stimulate me each and every time Join me, as I get chronically inclined Inhale the Precious Smoke and hear my rhyme Intellectually cultured and I refuse to lead the blind " Issue’s of mankind, I tell you can not be undermined Government is wasting all the time, our faiths are becoming intertwined We got to make a stand; the blind can’t lead the blind We need to awaken all mankind Evaluate the situation, run it through your mind Terrorism threatens our nation, now that’s a crime People don’t take the time to say what’s on their mind Yet most agree our world can be unkind I encourage you to unlock the knowledge and we will shine Address the problems don’t sit back and whine Government doesn’t have all the answers all the time Never has political annalist solved the problems of our time " Precious Smoke in Turbulent Times Sometimes I feel as if I’m going to lose my mind " Ice in my bong re-collaborates the THC Pentagon officials tell me bin laden will not succeed Anthrax in the mail that contaminate me Inhalation, in gestation or cuteanously Microbe spores with the intent of killing meticulously Domestic terrorist perpetrating war on us biologically Let’s bring our intellect together and make an offering Devise an end to all injustices and human suffering Collected thoughts documenting the harsh reality Achieve inidka Bliss from the joint I twist tightly Sweet ganja smoke infiltrate me lungs nightly Practice conservation, Hotbox in me van sealed up tightly Bumping subliminal messages promoting Rasta Fari You can catch the crew rolling Bling in my Safari Follow the Precious Smoke that’s were ya find me Discussing politics and conflicts faced by humanity Under the hypnotic effects Ganja provide me Help maintain stability and de-in-rage me Focused mental ability engaged to defuse internal hostility Commitment to excellence has motivated me definitely Interstellar doorway navigates me on my way Interactive journey throughout the cosmic skyway The precious smoke guide me along the herbal highway Rasta’s love to smoke the joint I twist up my way Mexicano with culture enriched in Reggae Aztec warrior fighting evil and you know I’m not afraid Cannabis lovers enjoy the buds that grow sporadically The sounds of Bob Marley have inspired me dramatically " Precious Smoke in Turbulent Times Sometimes I feel as if I’m going to lose my mind " Reggae infused lyrics submersed in mental tranquility Mexicano dropping knowledge and actuality Engulfed by the rhyme through my eyes you now see As I invade your mind and then your body Total stimulation and heightened cerebral activity Induced by my hypnotic sensitivity Now in total control of your mind and body Listen to my message DO NOT DENY ME Look through my eyes; tell me what do you see? Pain and sorrow inflicted by in-humanity. I vow to fight until there’s no fight left within me For our children’s future I fight continuously Precious is the fruit which falls not far from the tree A prosperous future that’s starts with you and me Fill there lives with love, culture and education They will grow to fight down evil and lead this nation There is no higher calling or occupation, than guiding the future of this nation This is my declaration of war my colors will not bleed. this made me think of when I smoked... then made me think of buildings crashing.. you went many directions with this instead of making the traditional stupid smoke weed song ~listening to sublime - sumertime~ this was well written and the vocabluary was on point... you represented who you are and what you deal with day in and day out in an exceptinally well manner.. well done oigame malo muchaho? la paz ~el continado~ could you lease return the favor? http://www.rapbattles.com/forum/sho...&threadid=73467 |

Hey I liked this...
are you just performing or do you have it on audio for streaming? cause I'd like to hear it.... IT flowed really smoothly in my mind while I was reading over your words.... Interesting concept you took, and not an easy one to write about I imagine.... nice job |

Thank you very much for the comments, I am still in awe over your last post....
We have the original show on dat, but I have not readied it for RB. We are rehearsing two times a week, trying to perfect our core set. Since this is one of my fav's, we decided this week to work on it, then get it down in the studio. Once that is done, I could post it on RB. I am working on my audios for RB, I just want something to be worthy before I post here... Yes you are right, it was a difficult concept, to inspire and move, using contravesial content, and symbolic reference tied to marijuana. In my mind I wanted to do what Bob Marley has been able to do so perfectly...I was just trying to leave a deep message, and a justification for hightened state of awareness. The thinker will get the message, and the listener will get the vibe, but not turned off by the reference to herb... I did not want the weed to take away from the seriousness. I can only attempt this thanks to the influence Bob Marley has had on music in general... Much respect

The way you set it out gave it an at times psychedelic feel. But not quite total, as it seems slightly more centred.
The way you linked it up with such depth gave it that extra haunting effect of wise psychedelia (dunno if that's an actual word). Someone who is in his thoughts with such contemplation. Er, dunno what else to say. For some reason, i can't think of anything else to say on the piece. It was interesting and put together intelligently. I would be intrigued to hear it in song form (actual audio). ...resp... |

I was actually going to ask you something as well. But forgot.
You heard of Burning Spear? A kind of protege of Bob Marley (well Marley spotted him, and Spear was inspired by him, though Spear did start off as a band..). Anyway, he's a quite brilliant reggae artist. In the same vein as Marley. Just as politically and socially aware. With a lot of power and energy in his work. Then again, you probably have. You seem down with reggae quite a lot. Much more than me. |

^ Oh yeah, I have seen him, at several shows. I am on the reggae scene quite much. I have been on stage with Eek-a-mouse, 420 band and Kotton Mouth Kings, just to name a few. I am really familiar with the Los Angeles Reggae scene, you can say I know some people... You know who else falls into that catagory of artist you mentioned, Steel Pulse, now thier sound is so nice... I have partied backstage with alot of those folks, wow now those are some good stories, but for some reason... I seem... to forget... alot of the ... details... ___~~~ I am not sure why?

^Heh. Indeed, i dig *booda gwidarn!!*...
Having had quite a few rasta/Jamaican bluds. Been to a fair few myself. Though rarely 'famous' artists. But that didn't matter...and it wasn't really the point either. Anyway, i'll stop freeposting in your thread now. Consider this another 'up'... |
