Ok, its becomming a problem here where people are comming into the forums and not being taken seriously by any of the members. So I'm writing this for everyone new to the forum in the hope that you wont make a dick of yourself.. These are by no means rules, just tips.. 1. Think before you post, dont ask stupid questions like "yo who wants to battle me" or "yo how do I set up battles yall".. There are perfectly good Front Lines Tutorials for this aswell as Voting Tutorials and Rule Lists.. You can also call people out in the Bitch Slapped Subforum in Front Lines. 2. Dont be a Net Thug.. No one wants to know you are a Pimp or a Crack Dealer.. And you are very likly to get laughed at if you say you are going to shoot or bash someone over the net. Remember that this is an Internet Battle Site, not the streets, you dont have to act overly tough to get respect, let your lyrics speak for you. 3. Try and type your posts in a legable (Readable) format, slang is definatly ok, however if you come in posting things like "yo dawg izle who wn batle me yo" you will just make a fool of yourself. 4. Dont try and be anything your not, people here are generally not stupid and you WILL be caught out.. As I have said above, this is not the streets, so there is absolutly no need to come in saying you are a poor ghetto kid when your not because people WILL clown you. This especially applies to race, dont say you are a different race to what you are.. You will find people will accept you much more based on your skill level instead of color. Basically, if you dont act like a fuckwhit, people will accept you. It is ok to ask questions, but try and stay on topic.. And dont make new threads unless you think people are going to care about what your talking about. If you follow these simple guidelines I garentee you will be a much more respected member of RV. Thankyou. Now Piss off and act right. P.S Distilled will be adding to this soon. Last edited by Poet : 09-17-04 at 03:10 AM. |

5. Also a tip for when you are actually battling, try not to use gunplay at all, nobody will take the verse seriously and chances are that you will be voted against for it. Net Thugs really aren’t appreciated. 6. Think about where you are posting, if you want to ask ‘which rapper is better out of so and so’ then there is a thread for that stickyed at the top of Hip Hop Talk. Don’t come into the Lyricist Lounge and start asking questions about Rap, New song releases etc. That is for Hip Hop Talk. Also don’t go into Hip Hop Talk, sayin, ‘What y’all up to??’ That kind of thing is for Lyricist Lounge. 7. When starting a new thread, try looking down through the forum to see whether it has been done before, and if it has, then post what you have got to say in there, for instance, if you want to talk about something that has recently happened, and most people that listen to Hip Hop will know about, e.g. a court case of a rapper, chances are that someone will have made a thread on this, so think first. 8.Last one, Please don’t come onto RV and immediately proceed to ask everybody who the vets are, because you want to battle them they will not battle you, and you will not be taken seriously Battle people at your level, make your way up, if you have skill you will battle the so called ‘vets’. There you go, These actually help you know So use them, hoe biscuits
