The spirit/soul

IP: 916F 7397

Aight, I was googling this and I came across something that sounded interesting.

"If I were to ask you what the wind looks like what would you say? Prove to me that it exists. You may say that you saw a tree dancing. I would have to agree with you but that is not the wind. You are merely describing a tree in motion. You could then describe to me the sensuous feeling you experienced as the wind traced patterns upon your bare skin. That would certainly be true as well but what does wind look like? We could carry on along this vein of inquiry but the truth is that no one has ever seen the wind yet we are certain of its existence. This confidence comes from experiencing the symptoms of its existence. I use these analogies because the spirit is just as illusive as the wind. Spirit cannot be viewed with the physical eyes. We may only learn of its presence by experiencing its symptoms."

So my question to ya'll is do you believe in the spirit?

What do we feel that is caused by the soul?

Sure, with wind we feel it on our skin, we can see it if we look at the skies thermally etc.

Explain to me some symptoms like these that come from the soul, because right now im not getting the soul-wind analogy.

Well we never seen the soul, so scientests don't believe in it. We don't see the wind, but we can feel it and watch everything move because of it. We don't see the soul, but we feel the effects of it being there.

I believe our soul is our concience and what creates our free will. Which controls emotions, creative thinking and the ability to know the difference between right and wrong etc.

Its interesting to ponder on past lives and whether we die and our soul carries on, but ofcourse our memorys (which are not part of our soul) are lost with our physical remains.

However the reason science doesent recognise our soul as a proven entity is because it is equally feasable and within human reasoning to say that the complexitys of our physical brain could also control the things we state that our soul governs or experiences.

And they are right.. In effect, all a soul is, is religion labeling different parts of our mental abilitys as being governed by an entity that is not of our brain or physical mass. I think to correctly prove the existance of this entity, we as humans would have to drastically increase our understanding of the human brain organism to the extent where we fully know its capabilitys and can determine whether or not it requires an exterior entity to govern certain aspects of our concience..

Everything CAN be explained within scientific boundrys, were just not advanced enough yet.

Oh, and by the way.

Wind is a gas. If you want to draw it, you can design a particle diagram built up of trillions of tiny atoms that are effected by an atmospheric weather system. All of which (unlike the soul) are scientifically proven to exist.

People who think little analogys like this are profound and true.. Are as gullable as the morons that write them...
