every emcee out there has there own point of view on rap. the game plays a different purpose for everyone trying to make it. to me the meening of rap is not an industry or a market it s a state of mind. it is one of the only true ways that people like us can express our opinion without breaking any law. it is not a rebeliouse state or a fuck u to the people with more power than us. it is the endless struggle to get our voice heard. but that is just my opinion

My view is a bunch of black so called artists, who beleive being black entitles them to saying they are poverty stricken. While at the same time making money off of it. My definition of hip-hop is different however.

RAP-RYTHEM AND POETRY.....thats what rap stands for....rap is a type of poetry expressed with instruments just so others dont fall asleep to it...the only differ between rap and poetry is poetry has many forms...haiku,short story poems etc etc....rap isnt about killing,fucking,sex,drugs...its just thats wht 2days society has made it out to be......rap is or should say was a form of expressing urself in other words reaching out to those who think they have it bad....thats were rythem comes in rythem was made 2 give it a beat.....RAP IS SOMETHING PPL SHOULD ENJOY NOT USE IT AS INFLUENCE 2 KILL OR HAVE SEX OR DO DRUGS.....thats y parents,white ppl,or those who dont like rap think rap is in general...its ppl like 50 cent and eminem talkin about fags etc that make ppl say rap is crap cause rap is all bout sex,drugs etc....they say that cause PEOPLE WHO WANNA RAP DONT RAP ABOUT THE REAL SHIT...AS FAR AS STRUGLES,THINGS THAT TIE INTO HISTORY....ONLY SHIT THEY SAY IS I CAME FROM THE HOOD(HALF OF THEM HAVE NOT LIVED IN THE HOOD,,EX JA RULE) YET THEY RAP ABOUT IT JUST 2 BOAST.....which 2 me leaves rap without a defition....sorry

I definately feel it's a state of mind, cause my whole outlook on life be changin' more everyday because of this whole rap thang. I think it's like an opportunity for a lot of people to succed, to express their feelings, and bring pride to themselves, their communities, and their races. The whole world has been influenced by hip-hop, and we are goin' stronger. That's why I think niggaz on this site need to just realize that we all on the same side here, that this shit is all just fun, and for Christ Sakes, NIGGAZ IZ BEEFIN' ON A FUCKIN' KEYBOARD.
