Lost Love

Love is sometimes used as a name,
not an emotion... only a name.
The man who uses it never feels shame,
unaware that the woman who loves him feels pain.

He continues to play with his lover's heart,
while slowly her insides are torn apart.
The day finally comes she cant take no more pain,
she finds her own way to end his cruel game.

She sits all alone in a room with no light,
in one hand the Bible, the other a knife.
She opens the book although she can't see
she's praying aloud, begging, "Lord forgive me."

Her eyes are now red and swollen from crying
a cut on each wrist and slowly she's dying.
The pain in her heart hurts worse than the knife
and to this 'Lost Love' she now gives her life.
