It's much easier to download a beat and use it to record with. First sign up with Soundclick as a band, then you can download beats from their members that allow a free MP3 download. To download, simply find a beat that you like that has an MP3 download and right click on the MP3 link, then go to Save Target As, but remember where you save it to. Now you are ready to use Cool Edit. In cool edit, you will see a little folder looking button. To get your beat into Cool Edit, click on that button and search your computer for where you put the beat. Once you finally got it uploaded, toggle between multi track and single track just to get familiar with what it does. You can do this by pushing the button in the far top left corner. To get the beat into multi track, simply click on the button that is two buttons over from the folder looking button. Then go to the track undereath it and click on the red "R" button, this allows you to record on a seperate track. To actually record, hit the record button at the bottom. When it comes time to edit, hit me back and I'll take you through a little longer process.....lol.
