culture in hip hop

IP:

now i dont know about this, but the other day i heard 'rap didnt come from the black community, but in actual fact it came from hindu priests who's prays were too long, so to simplify it they would say it really fast, now in them old days africa and india where united due to only being an ocean away (:S) and african people interpreted this into english form of poetry, rap being born'. whether this is true i dont know.

another thing on my mind, why is hip hop so defined to black people? as an asian i think more and more multi cultural people should indulge in this game. it would satisfy hip hop because people are born with differant views from there background, this adding to differant creativity in hip hop

post ya opionions about cultures in hip hop cus im dying to know about this
