Jay-Z’s 2-year-old 40/40 Club is a known sports bar and hot spot in New York City that attracts the biggest names in music, sports and entertainment. Now, the Def Jam president and rapper and his girlfriend, singer Beyonce Knowles, have announced plans to bring the same glamour and flash to Atlantic City in the fall, according to pressofatlantic.com. The couple joined Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo T. Langford at a July 21 press conference in announcing plans to open a second club amid the bright lights and casinos of Atlantic City’s boardwalk. The 15,000 square foot club will cost $4 million to construct. “I'm a Brooklyn kid. I'm very honored that you welcomed me with open arms," said Jay-Z to pressofatlantic.com. “When they brought up The Walk in Atlantic City, it was so exciting, that we wanted to be a part of it.”
