vocals be and your beat be....like should your vocals be at -2db and ya beat at -1db or what.....
what levels yall use....cause i cant do it by ear all the time |

it's impossible to set decibel levels the same for all beats because vocals change as well as beats...
listen to it...if ur vocals are too loud, lower them...or maybe raise the beat...I tend to prefer lowering the beat than raising vocals Also...something I do to determine the correct ratio of Beat:vocals is to mix it down and literally see how the peaks of the vocals match to the track...If the vocal peaks are well above the track's peaks, go back into multitrack and lower them...and vice versa 1 |
