Whoa i cant beileve i entered a poem to poetry.com and they sent me a letter saying that it would be published

im also entered as a semi finalist in a amature peotry contest with a chance to win a couple thousand dollar prize...

this is awsome..

anyway heres my poem

"No Worries"

I am part of the few, the proud, the brave, the mentally insane
I am the one sitting in the corner expanding his brain
I know things that no one will ever know
I don’t stress about it I just enjoy the show
I don’t rush, I take my time, I have no where special to go
I relax my mind, go with the flow
Laugh at life, let the good times roll
Walking the world with a casual stroll
I stop now and then to smell the flowers
I sleep often and take 30-minute showers
Laugh at fear and point out the cowards
I float with the uppers and ignore the downers
Mellow moods and me and my dudes
I live a real life, I remain true
Take notes you could learn a thing or two

wow...that was really good, you could really feel the power in that piece, keep it up man...and good luck with your up coming things.

good drop... nice flow, it had a quickness to it, short an sweet.
I entered that thing 2 times... my first got published an then a couple weeks later read on a published Cd... sent me some stuff talkin about Iwas invited to a poetry convention in FL and I was a semi finalist.. but that was the last thing I heard. I really think those people are one big crock. My second one got published as well, didn't make it to the Cd. But nevertheless Good luck an I really do hope that you win, jus so you can prove me wrong man... lol peace

"Where is My Remedy?"

When I awake in the day, I have only one goal
To make all those around me feel like pure gold
Keep them happy and glad
Help them become less snappy or sad
Being their remedy with not a cent as a toll

As the day goes on, and the darkness covers all
I think of the people who I helped break the fall
Family and friends
Happy again
All because I wanted them to have a ball

When the night is here, I find myself alone
No one to help me, no sounds from the phone
I sit and I laugh
Than I cry and I gasp
When will my remedy come to my home

this was a nice short piece it had heart and it was sweet to...i injoyed it i hope you keep writing here lookin forward to poetry by you keep it up...

hmmm just interested who is publishing your piece....Anything can get published sadly....not saying the piece wasnt a good read...i just didnt it find it too unique....good flow and nice structure just the originality i had expected for a published piece was not there...To much artificial imagery nothing raw enough...or abstract...

WHAT? And who the fuck are you...Poetry? Are you poetry?

Nah...you ain't. But that's the thing. Poetry is whatever poetry is...to the writer. I don't give a fuck if you understood it, liked it, or what not. It's what the WRITER feels....so that is poetry.


I've been look'n around this site...and a lot of you kids are too young to understand yet.

Half of ya'll just sit here, and type to eachother...any random shit you can think of...it's sad really....but you know...that all goes away with age.

^^^^^Are you serious was there one piece of sentiment that nearly focused on his piece not being poetry. Did i accuse anyone of not know what poetry is? um pretty easy piece..nothing abstract found a couple parts a bit lacking..like this one

i just want to note to Gonzo your piece wasnt bad i just think being published now days is easy which really makes it meaningless....yah hear...Write a book and get a publisher to press it.....thats a goal of mine...
