As of now I'm on a very low budget. All I have is a $20 mic hooked up to a computer, a mic stand, a pop blocker, and black light that goes into a coat closet that we use for a booth and we use Acid. Any tips on anything?

Learn how to mix, check the alcaTrakz process at the top of this forum, it came in very handy for me.

if ur on a budget then mixing is definitely gonna be the key factor for you. If you're already using Acid then stick with that. You can use the Waves plugin with Acid. It works great. Follow the Alcatrakz process, but make sure u tweak the EQ to fit your vocals. EQ will be the number one priority for you.
