aight yall, this poem is real old. i wrote it a couple of years ago.

Shy


Looking back I should have seen,
my love for you would never be returned although it was so clever and keen.
What may have been we shall never know,
if you looked into my eyes you would have seen what they wanted to show.
I guess I should have said something and not been so shy,
I thought the way I felt for you would never die.
But it has, so I will let it be,
my love you will no longer hear nor see.
I guess I should have said something and not been so shy,
you would think all I could do is wonder why.
But that time has passed, it is forever gone,
It left when you lied to me, its gone like the morning dawn.
We could have shared sunshine, snow and rain,
I would bring you love and never fear or pain.
But now you have wronged me and it is most unforgiving,
my own life from now on is what I will be living.
I guess I should have said something and not been so shy,
my love for you is gone and I know now why.
I called you my unforgettable, said Id give you the sea,
but all that has vanished and will never be.
Why did I care so much, why didn’t I know,
you ruined it now; my love for you will no longer grow.
I told you I’d give you the stars, the moon and the heavens,
you can get them your self now, no more love will you be given.
You are out of my life and out of my mind,
I was much to happy, sweet and kind.
I guess I should have said something and not been so shy,
you think you’ve won but so far it’s only a tie.
You may have hurt my heart but now I will hurt yours,
you played me for a fool, now I despise you like festering sores.
You where my one, my love my unforgettable,
now you can do what you want, all of this is so unforgivable.
Never again do I care to hear the sweet sound of your voice,
keep it all away, I have made my choice.
Here I find solace, forever with this pen,
don’t you want to know what could have been?
Trust me, I wish you only the best,
though my heart no longer beats for you inside my chest.
So stay away from me now and forever,
my love for you will return a day after never.
I guess I should have said something and not been so shy,
I guess my love for you in the end actually did die.
