~Blood trickles from the lifeless body of a fallen comrade
Casualty of combat, but for myself I wouldn't want that
So I keep an extra arm strapped, ready to split a cong's back
They're rushing from the South, my team is movin to intercept
We'd rather die fightin than hide n go home as injured vets
Gunshots; crimson liquid shoots from an enemy viet's chest
But my team is hit, turn my head and see only 3 men left
I reload behind a dirt mound, I've got a vengeful thirst now
Get up n fire at the first man in sight; hear a *splurt* sound
Got to go to work now, there's only 4 enemies standing
My team's tossin grenades *BOOM*... no more enemies standing
We proceed through the bushes to where the enemy's camping
Set fire to the tents; i love the way the embers be dancing
No time to be captivated, fools get decapitated
Reincarnated; soldiers considered dead are back to spray shit
A spray of bullets buzzing, two of my three comrades falling
I dive quickly and stay hidden, yet it seems combat's calling
My last man's down, feels like I've failed my duties as a soldier
*Click* *Click*, the HK5's empty, I strap it to my shoulder
Close to my position, pull the Mark .23 out the holster
"It's time that I roast ya," I scream as I emerge from the spot
Put holes in two, the others fire; It seems I'm burned with a shot
My stomaches draining, my time is here...won't be dying alone
Pull out grenades and toss 'em up; Smoke every guy in the zone
I'm laying lifeless; The beginning of my soul's ascension
Feel a tear on my cheek; life is black in a moment's instant...

...A few day's after the war has ended, the fallen soldier's younger brother is given the news...

...Slow n' timid, a soldier walkin to my door carryin a box
Keeps varyin his talks, tellin me you needa be buried,- it shocks
Gettin scarier thoughts, now I gotta call the family, break the news
Filled wit hate n' bruised, I was with you but now cant deface the truth
Take the youth, I shoulda took the clip, you had a life to live
A wife to give, all that hopeful shit, Im sayin I got the strife to quit
Might be quick, tears are flowin but you know i'll get back kid
