How to I Audio Battle after I get da mic

Is it just as easy as getting a mic, and downloading a beat?.. how do i mix and record it, then post.. I need to know because I don't even know where to start after I get the microphone.. what does Soundclick have to do with it, and do I have to download any particular software? if so will i get instruction on how to use it.. I need to know something to start.. what's up, someone tell me please..

i got you cuz^.....
aight you got aim ?, cause i can get you set up right now... if not here the explination: 1. Get a Mic for Vocals... i have a Shure RS130 mic.. its aiiiiiight...not to good... 2. If the mi wont fit in your cpu.. you must buy an adapter.. Radio Shack can hook you up.. Tell em what you need and why you need it, they'll get oyu set up.. 3. www.download.com - Has Acid Pro 4.0... its a nice prog to start with... all you need an empty beat file (Instrumental).. load it in the prog.. and press record.. it starts the beat from the beggining and you start recording ... 4.Thats pretty much it.. once you get the hang of audios and shit.. move on up to Cool edit pro 2... when you need that holla at me and ima hook you up with that ish..
