Settin Up Your Shit

Make Sure your mic and headphones are plugged in right.
[speakers will not do]
rite click on the speaker button on your start menu bar
and select adjust audio properties.
click the audio tab at the top of da menu that cums up.
in the recording section click volume
then make sure that Microphone has a check in the 'selected' box
if u dont see microphone then click options > properties and select microphone in the bottom box and click ok then do what i just said.

Opening Up A Beat. in acid pro

Start Acid Pro 4 And Right Click on the blank panel on the left.
Click Open and Select the beat you wanna use and click it and click open.
When the beatmap window appears either click cancel or beatmap it and its pretty easy how to so dont ask me u dumb fucks.
You will then have a new track with the beats title.
Choose the paintbrush tool. and on the beat track. drag it right across to the end of the beat. [where it becomes blank]

now choose the mouse pointer tool and click underneat the beat track at the beggiinin to get the play thing at the beginnin. then click record. change the record folder to a new folder especially made for this song and get ready and then press start recordin and rap to the beat. when u finished press stop recordin.
thats pretty fuckin simple rite there.

now....
the best way to record multi track is too record the verse about 4 - 5 times. then usin thost 5 tracks u have. use the best take for each bar so you have one continuous verse made up off the best takes.

adjust the volumes in acid proto get it as good as you can.

also a good effect for the chorus is too have too different recordings of the chorus that are good takes. and have them at the same time. but.... pan one left and one right. to do this click on the arrow next to VOL: and choose Pan: Center. on the first take make it about 70% left and on the other take make it 70% right. u can have it as anythin but 70% is usually good.

ok once your happy with ur song mute the beat. by clickin the MUTE button in the beat track. pretty simple. then click file > render as and export the song as a WAV fiile. call it [SongName]Accapella.wav or sumthin like that. then once thats exported.


Now UNMUTE the beat

Click File > Save As and save the project file in the folder you made for this song before as [songname].acd but put ya song name insteada songname you dumb faggot.
Now....
Delete All Vocal tracks. so you just have the beat. dont think about it just do it. it probly sound stupid but just do it. what the hell do you know ya faggot?

then click file > save as and save it as songnamefinal. even tho it isnt final.... yet.

then open up the accapella wav file you saved before into a new track. just like u opened up the beat.
then drag it across like u did before.
now press play and everythin shud sound fine pretty much.
if its off beat than either u cant rap or u musta done somethin wrong.
so it shud be fine.

NORMALIZIN, COMPRESSIN, EQ-IN, REVERB, AND OTHER COMPLICATED SOUNDIN SHIT

Now. u shud have two tracks. the beat. and ur accapella.

right click on the accapelal and click edit in soundforge 7.0

then soundforge shud start with ur vocals loaded. dont click anythin or youll probly fuck it up.



first off. you wanna normalize.......

NORMALIZING

cllick process > normalize and choose the preset that has speech at the end. and -10db in it somewhere. thats what i do. then click ok.



COMPRESSING

now see that main part? where u can 'see' ur vocals. well choose a section at a time and click effects > wave hammer and choose the bottom preset that is vocals and click ok. do this on each section seperately to get the best result




EQing
then click process > EQ > Graphic .

click on 20 band and then dont touch shit except for what i say.
this is just basic and generic. you should just do this on every song and it shud automatically sound better. same with the other things uve done so far. but u dont know shit and i aint explainin what everythin does. its just that ive showed u the presets that will make em sound better than they already do. anywayz

put a slight drop in the last few bands
boost the middle ones
and a slight boost to the lows on the left.

but do it to make it sound good as possible.
just make sure u boost the mids a good bit. just not to much

if u dont have studio monitor speakers then you wont get an accurate sound of what it really sounds like. so if it sounds good on your headphones then it wont sound as goood any other peoples unles they have similar headphones becauase most commercial headphones and speakers color the sound to make it sound better. but you should just make it sound good on yours anywayz...

now click ok......

REVERB
click effects > reverb
in reverbration mode choose subtle ambience.
click preview and see if it sounds to much. if it does then slightly turn the "reverb out" bar down a bit or up if u need. till u get it rite. u DONT wanan hear it to obviously or youll fuck it up. this is one of the ones where youll fuck it up too much i bet. ur all stupid fucks i swear. lol.
anyways get it rite and click ok.

then u shud proably normalize it again.

now click file > save > and close soundforge by clicki the cross. at the corner. acid pro shud be back on ur screen now.

thats pretty much it. it gets a lot mroe complicatead but what ive told u here will make it sound pretty ok. unless u use the effects and processes too much.

click file save then click file render as and save as a 128 mp3
then register with http://www.soundclick.com/ and put it up
