Worthless World

Sometime in the future...

We've been roaming for years, no where in particular to go
Traveling in the far corners of space, destined for the unknown
Another planet on our sensors, But this one is different
Traces of past life and hope, Our spirits rise in an instant
A dot faint in the distance, a chance for blooming civilization
Population is uncertain, but it lies in perfect isolation
Away from the world we left, several galaxies in the past
In a land of wars and corruption, where falacies trespassed
Missles in the air, hate so thick it's hard to breathe
So a few of us made the choice, to abandon pain and leave
We shot off into space, traveleing faster than you can imagine
Moral was always high, a true paradise we always fathomed
Always saying "maybe tomorrow", our cheerfullness never finished
And now we've finally found it, getting closer every minute
The planet comes into view, but where is the paradise?
Craters in the earth, an extinction of the former life
A future glimpse, of the hopeless planet we had left
I guess life is the same, striving for domination and death
A waste of a land, burnt with corpses keepin it smothered
Our travels have been futile, one worthless world to another
