This was actually a poem i recited at an Open Mic at a Cafe near me, so the structure is odd when you read it, because i recited it totally different than you might read it.. But feedback is appreciated anyway. Thanks.

take me back... way back to the first day, seeing you.. i got butterflies..
.childish i know, but
butterflies like, like the first few minutes before a test
or like, that moment before your first kiss.
or like butterflies on the first day of high school
or like, reading a poem about your feelings out loud..
or like, butterflies.... seeing the most beautiful girl that was ...
so beautiful..
more beautiful than the girl of your dreams.

take me back, way back to the second day, seeing you, meeting you, talking to.….you
though it was for only a couple minutes it felt like years.
those butterflies.. like a reoccurring dream..
come over and over again at each new glance of you...
i ask myself.. whats with this feeling ive got?

But what went wrong? Who went wrong, whatd you do? Whatd you say?
Whatd I do? Whatd I say?
.. dont take me back, back to the days in which we stopped talking.. back to each and everyday we hadn't seen each other.. back to the days in which we never.. ever.. said a word…
but somehow it got back on track..

take me now, to the present day, We may not talk as much
but that’s not what matters. Because
even to THIS DAY..
i get nervous just by passing by you
just by being near you
even to THIS DAY..
hearing your voice makes me feel like
like there is no such thing as hate in the world
...and i feel like
like...


......you and i are the only people on the earth for those 5 seconds we look at each other
