I. Introduction
Sup yall. This is Spektikul taking over this weeks mag. Mimesis has reciently retired writing as he has been mad busy with other shit, including running this league...which he is doing a dope job of, props. Remember, if anyone else wants to get into the mag business, get your ass in the:
Signup Thread. Lets see...This is the 5th week that the belts have been brought into play. I think everyones feelin them too cause since they've been around Ive been seein more effort put into verses. I know yall want that Heavy Weight Title. Top 3 as of last week are Drakel, Hotshh! and The Revelation... lets see if they are successful at defending their titles. If you come dope each week, you can take a shot at them and possibly win yourself a spot in the top 3.
Anyways, things this week have been really picking up. Its obvious that ppl are wanting to get into the top 8 rankings by the time the league ends, which was polled to be over at week 20. The top 8 rankings at the end will compete in a playoff-like tourny to determine the champion of the league. There has been carnage, there has been garbage, and still, there has been ppl no-showing. So if your status is "dump truck" this week, in the sense that youve been droppin garbage, pick it up...cause theres only 11 weeks left. Just about half way done. Oh yeh, and if your one of those ppl that no-showed this week, your gunna get it in this mag...fuckers.

II. Battle Reel HW Championship Battle - Drakel VS Hotshh!
For a HW title championship battle, it sure was a weak one. I thought we would see flames, but instead we saw herbs and spices. Drakles bar was essentially about Hotshh! losing in KORV, even tho he also lost. And I wasnt feeling the whole 'h'ing line. Kind of fucked up but I gave you a vote anyways because...then there was Hotshh!'s bar. Well there was some controversey going on in the thread about his punch. The argument was that Hot wrote Keese Style, as in Key-Style. But Drakels Alias is actually Kesse, therefore...Kesse Style makes no sense and I wasnt feelin the concept at that point. But I suppose some ppl had different opinions. It was a nail biter, but Hot took this win by a single vote. Despite our arguments, we are still homies. Congrats on the HW Title, the gold is in your hands. Nice try Drakel. Winner = Hotshh! MW Championship Battle - The Revelation VS New Method New Method dropped first, now I thought he was gunna go somewhere with the clue/Sherlock line, but he totally didnt. His 2nd bar was the thing that hurt him the most. It sucked. Method has been lighting it up throughout the whole league and now he drops garbage. damn. Not to mention The Rev turns shit around and flips Methods concept of him beating The R before. Althought The Rev didnt drop dopeness, it was enough to get the win here. And due to methods wack verse, he got KOed. Nice job Rev. MW Title is yours. Winner = The Revelation LW Championship Battle - Young Blaze VS Marvjay I actually felt that this was one of the stronger battles this week. Both punches were in the top 10 as well. Marvjay used 2 personals on Blaze which I thought left him in trouble cause they were pretty illin. 1 about his cd with witty wordplay, the other about his rookie of the year spot. I was like oh shit, poor Blaze that hit hard. BUT! Blaze turned up the heat. Used a personal about his sig and lit it up. Seriously. This was a fucking hot/funny ass line. I laughed. Very nice job. When I thought marvs line was tight, you stepped in and made it look like herb-shit. LW Title is yours. Winner = Young Blaze R-Rated VS MiSk First off, R-Rated aka Lay Text thought he would try a bar consisting of Suicide, crack, cocks and cumming dope. Now I donno about this, sounds lke he was trying to pull an Ackrite move with the sick-ass bar. Anyways, nobody was feeling it because honestly, he could have used those 2 lines on anyone in the league. There was no personal involved. As a matter of fact, it wasnt even directed at MiSk, more like at suicidal Teens. Then MiSk dropped a somewhat hard verse. Obviously enough to take the win here, but also a spot in the top 10 punches this week. 1st line was a hard personal, 2nd was a play of his name. Kats were liking it and he won. Winner = MiSk Intrepid VS Dizzee Rascal This battle was wackness. Intrepid, First line was no punch and glorifying yourself, second line you called him an herb and said he gets d/r...the fuck is that? Throw a damn punch, maybe a hard personal would help too. Dizzee...I in fact, felt that you cam stronger in this one. At least it was somewhat witty...but not much. There was nothing you could do in this situation as it was up to the voters. Maybe if you came harder so that it made it obvious that you win. But that was your spit and I thought it was at least 3 times better than Intrepids. Voters fucked you over son. Winner = Intrepid Khaoz Theory VS Ackrite First off, this was one of the top 3 battles this week...for wackness. and thats being generous. This was actually the worst shit Ive seen almost this whole league. Ack has a line about cocks, finger-fucking with bills, and all sorts of homosexual wordplay. It was just horribly wrong. After reading that, I thought Khaoz would have takin this EASY! But yet again, my prediction was wrong. Khaos didnt really have a punch in his bar. It was just like...Yo Ack, you spit horror raps like wes craven, you lost as many as youve won, whys ya life worth savin....which left me with a black expression on my face. Ummmm...whats that smell? oh yeh....garbage. Anyways, the homosexual bar ended up KOing the "horror" bar. Winner = Ackrite 9th Degree VS Fuxjustaword 9th dropped his verse and it was kinda weak. I know he could prolly stomp anyone he wanted to, but this wasnt like him. It was really a punch that he used, basically just called Fux a special-Ed kid, lol. That was the only thing that hit, and not hard. But then Fux tied his shoes up tight and cleared his throat a bit and spit fire. Personal and a punch beautifly worded and hitting hard. Although it was leaning on the verge of self-glorifying at the end...it was fucking dopeness and I think the voters notcied as well because it was a KO victory for him. Winner = Fuxjustaword Sdizzle VS Jimmy Pockets Ok, well...Sdizzle in my opinion was shit this week. I was actually disappointed. Tryna play off them sick-ass clips that Jimmy often leaves sigged and its grose as fuck. You coulda came up with better tho dawg. Then Jimmy also came half-assed, as in compared to what I know what damage he can do. I mean, the concept was ok, and it was a not bad personal. Actually it was ok. I think he shoulda taken this one easy just cause of Dizzles wackness, but it was up to the voters and I guess kats all had their own opinions about this battle. It resulted in a fucking tie. Winner = Tie Soul Rebel VS O.V.Dose Here was another one-sided battle. OV dropped garbage, tryed playing off Souls memeber title, failed. Then his second line was totally irellivant to anything he was talking about and hardly made sense. He hit himself harder then he did his opponent. Then Soul stepped into the thread, dropped it like it hot, and left OV blazed. Damn, one of the hardest punches I saw this week also and it was not necesary. I aint even playing either. Just cause hes my homie, dont think Im tryna make him look dope, he did that on his own. And it showed because he KOed OV...done deal. Dopeness. Winner = Soul Rebel Skriptz VS Compose I think this was another one-sided battle. Skriptz threw down a line with witty wordplay. His first line was garbage but then came strong with the 2nd one..."if some1 said you'd never amount to shit.. you just defeated the odd". Dopeness. Then Compose first tried playing off his name, but was unsuccessful at hitting hard. Then his second line was horribly worded which made it hard to read, therefore losing the flow/concept. It really was wack tho. Skriptz took this one half-skilled, cause I know the kid could do better. Winner = Skriptz Jack The Ripper VS E.C Well I wasnt feelin this battle very much either. Jacks bar was full of name play on E.C. about Extascy, drugs, raving and crowds. It was pretty creative but worded a little weakly. The I read E.C's bar. The first line didnt even go together with the 2nd one. First hes rhymin about aquariums, I thought he would lead to something but he ended up talking about librarians. Its almost as if he focred the last line just to rhyme the first line with anything. It was a weak punch attempt and I think it hurt him...fuck it, I know it hurt him. Therefore, he got KOed. They are both fam with me, I know what they are capable of, and they just werent trying in this one. Winner = Jack The Ripper Spektikul VS Premanition Spek came into this one with a mediocre personal and play on words about Prems Sig. Pretty good personals but it was the wordplay that kept this one alive. Prem used a played line that everyone uses against Spek. I mean, I see these punches all the time, its like kats think that testical is the only thing that rhymes with his name. Also, ppl dont stop to think about using the wordplay on Spektikuls name in the sense that its another word for glasses. Its been played a lot. However, this was a very good battle and I believe it was won by a hair, because ppl voting have obviously never seen the specticle line used before, but they have now. I think thats what hurt Prem the most in this. None the less, dope battle. Keepin it close. Winner = Spektikul CALI VS Black Magik Well I know what CALI is capable of, and honestly, this was not to the best of his abilities. His line was just playing off his name and the whole Magik concept. It was actually worded pretty badly, but I think CALI Underestimated his opponent before he dropped...and that is why his verse was weaker than usual. But then when Magik stepped in and dropped, it left me speachless...and then my laugh finally blew out my nose cause I was holding it in. wow. If there was a wackness award in this league, that won it right there. What more can I say? First line was self-glorified and in first person might I add. Then the last line was like...wtf. More self-glorification but with wack wordplay that made no sense. Very weak battle. So I guess CALI's underestimating this kat worked out fine. Its like he just knew...lol. Winner = CALI Bars of Steel VS Ghost First off, Bars of Steel came with a self-glorified "watch me lay him out" line. I wasnt feeli this at all. In fact, in this kids first line he also threw in a "Ill throw you down quick" line in there. Wtf is that all about. I dont even think there was a punch thrown in his whole bar. Hardest thing he said was, "This clown wont get a win on his best day". That was hittin hard...lol, actually no. But then Ghost stepped in, and I just knew he was gunna hammer Steel...litterally. But instead he came almost wacker than Bars of Steel with a self glorified line of his own. Only quote I have to say is: "Ima devour ya metallic remainz, N leave ya lost". Come one dawg. Your best punch was basically tryna play off his name, saying he listens to heavy metal. But it was up to the voters, so barz ended up taking this one. Winner = Barz of Steel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
III. Top 10 Punches
10. Dizzee Rascal Glint of molesting so much 'wood' to ur chest ur stomach 'splinter pressing' Its oximoronic how ur verse sends voters to sleep yet leaves 'intre'-resting 9. MiSk Deletin' the KORV thread... just gave you the delayed exit spreadin' body parts over a map cuz ya couldnt LAY-TEXas 8. The Revelation Ya, you did beat me, and for that I'll give ya your dues, Your good, then lose, guess your 'dopeness' backfired on ya, new. 7. Spektikul If you claim to see the future, then how come you aint bright Even Miss Cleo knows that betas cant win when they fight 6. Skriptz this hoe is still in my shadow.. but he's probably seeking his props if some1 said you'd never amount to shit.. you just defeated the odds 5. Jack The Ripper Get herbed E... Peeps don' yell yo name, so quit acting smug Cuz... ...Only way crowds rave for E is if it's a drug 4. MaRVJay1009 rookie of da year? lol fuck out here watch ya flow get slaughterd. blaze drop'd a cd..but 2 "put fire out" he need a "hose & water". 3. Fuxjustaword Wen 9th drops, he literally shows how he fell off to Word Cuz Pauly's just a cracker...... and Ive been known to flip birds 2. Young Blaze Marv's Head Cut open brains Look drippy fuck if dis Lame cant hit me Duck. Look at yah sig cuz i'll bring da`peice to ya hood`like Painted Hippies Truck. 1. Soul Rebel O.V. Dose...with a name like that, people should be addicts to ya shit Only hits you make are in your arm, cause theres none on soundclick ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IV. Power Rankings
10. MarvJay1009
This week Marv has a LW Title shot against Young Blaze. Although he was unsucessful in taking the win, I know Marv has got what it takes to get back into the Top 8 Rankings before week 20 gets here. Just walk it off son, get back in the game with your fire, no mercy, just work hard dawg. 9. C.A.L.I This week CALI had an easy win against Black Magik. This brings him that much closer to the top 3. Next week CALI will get a LW title shot against Spektikul. Lets see what kind of madness this kat can bring to the table. Will he continue elevating to the top, or fall off...time will tell. GL. 8. Jimmy Pockets This week Jimmy was in a battle against Sdizzle and they ended up with a draw. This lands him a spot in 8th place on the roster. Just a minor set back tho. He may not have as many points as everyone else, but his skills outside of the league are what have got me thinking that hell soon be making a comeback. Work hard and get back into the title battles. 7. Soul Rebel What can I say about Soul Rebel? This week he actually KOed O.V Dose. He just joined the league and has already been elevating to the top without being noticed. I think once he gets more wins under his belt, he will be a threat to the title holders. Two battles and two wins, kid is ripping it up. Although he is currently sitting at 5 points in the leauge, there are still 11 weeks left. If he can continue the way he has been, we will definatly be seeing his face in the final tourny. 6. Fuxjustaword This week Fux shocked myself, and actually a lot of other ppl as well. He was up against a pretty challenging opponent named 9th Degree. In the end he won with one of the dopest punches, KOing 9th. I have been a bit skeptical about Fux rising back up to the top, but hes at 4-2 with 8 points. If things continue to elevate for him, he will definatly be seeing us in the final tourny at the end of week 20 in the league. Keep your drops hot, you know what you gotta do...so do it. 5. Spektikul Well, whats with this kid? Hes at 5-2-1. Fer sure had his share of ups, downs and even lower than that. One week he will drop fire, next its wack as fuck. And yet hes still hanging on playing the roll as one of the top dogs. Next week he has got a title shot against CALI for the LW Championship. Im thinking if he can get that win, itll turn things around for him...essentially giving him just what he needs to continue rising to the top until hes got the HW title and a spot in the final tourny. Stay away from wack drops and take your time for once instead of dropping super early. 4. Drakel This week Drakel disappointed us with a close loss against Hotshh! for the HW Title. He has basically been on top of this league the whole time. He may be able to just walk this loss off, make a quick win or 2, and get the gold back. Or, if he doesnt take it well...he is going to continue to fall, risking losing his shot at getting into the final tounrny round. Decide what you gotta do, make some W's happen, and get back in. 3. Hotshh! Currently the new HW champion in the league sitting at 15 points. He has also been one of the top dogs this whole league. Not much stopping him if he can keep up his witty and very hard personals against his opponents. The way I see it, Hotshh! is one of the biggest threats in the tourny to everyone else. lets see if he is able to defend the title against The Rev or not. His ranking in the league depends souly on his upcomming title defences. Best of luck and congrats. 2. The Revelation This kat has actually been doing quite outstanding during the course of this league. Hes got 6 wins and 1 loss...leaving him at 14 points, the MW title, and a shot at the gold next week. His punches have been elevating in strength each week. I feel like he is just gunna keep going as well. He has those witty punches, also is very wise in his point of view for concepts. Dont underestimate The Rev, he knows how to dig deep, eye up his opponents, and almost predict what their 1 bar outcome will be like. He is on the road to dopeness is he can continue doing the same thing hes been doing each week. GL on your HW title shot. 1. Young Blaze Finally, we got Young Blaze. I dont think kats know what hits then once Blazes is finished with them. Everyone underrated him and payed no attention. Thing is, Blaze has got the skill to hold the gold, and the entire league in the palm of his hands. Kids fire and I think other league members are only noticing this now. He is definatly a huge threat to his opponents and if he keeps it up, hes got it. Blaze has got a MW title shot against Drakel. Will he show us what hes really got, or give up after the journey to the top. Hes got so much potential and nobody sees it. GL, lets see what you can do dawg. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following are the battles in which one opponent decided not to show:
Daubs vs. Hells Fire Hells Fire No Showed. Ice-D vs. Technical Technical No Showed. Pictureperfect2 vs. Graffik Nature Graffik Nature No Showed. Stanza vs. Given Light Given Light No Showed. On behalf of the Punchline League, I would like to apologize to those of you that actually took your time dropping a bar and showing up. Within this mag, I decided not to even critique these punches as it would be pointless. But this section is to give you kats the credit you deserve. Here are the punchlines that the participants that showed up used... Daubs You a broke monopoply game the way you aint got a chance.. And you couldnt test my writing skills, In an literature exam.. Ice-D From 'The Ring'..even through the movie ya cudn't get ya shit to 'pop out'.. You get all the votes I'll still win...cuz it'll still be a 'Technical Knock Out'.. Pictureperfect2 he laughed off rapdemom like he doesn't want to penitrate a evil seed but he aint a virgin, cuz he got in somethin bad when he joined O.G. Stanza Well You Say Your better Than Me at Topicals Huh Given Light If So Then If Throwing A Punch was wrong You Would Be right If you are one of the ppl that no-showed this week...thats who Mimesis' user title is aimed at. lol...I mean, hes tryna run something for you guys to do in his free time. When you sign up for it and then dont even bother showing, how the fuck do you think it makes him feel. So, either dont signup at all if your not gunna show, or...drop your 1 shitty bar within the given week period. It isnt hard to drop 1 bar in 1 week on time, come on. And if you are one of those ppl and had an "Excuse"...It had better be that you were handcuffed and crippled. Your ruining shit for other ppl by not allowing them to gain as many points as they might have been able to get if you showed up. I would like to see the amount of ppl doing this end up at zero by next week. DONT NO-SHOW. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright well, Im gunna have to hand over the mag writers hat to R-Rated next week. So GL to you with doing that homie, and dont forget, were still looking for ppl to write more. Id say the league is still kinda bunk right now. I mean, its currently at like... 60% Garbage, 30% Fire, 10% WTF. I know for a fact that once the weeks shorten up and Mimesis starts looking to get that top 8 rankings into a tourny, kats will be pounding each other silly. Were only half way tho, so anyone thats working their way up, your alright. However, anyone thats tryna hold their spots may have some solid competition headed your way. Will see how it goes. Also, Do not no-show anymore, sign the fuck outta here cause we all hate you. You 4 are currently on suspention for your actions and if you plan on not showing up ever again, I will see that Mim bans you for being gay. Well thats the mag for this week.
