The Ying Yang Twins are preparing to release a chopped and screwed version of their latest album, U.S.A. (United States of Atlanta), which is rapidly approaching gold status.

The album will be remixed by Michael “5000” Watts of the Texas-based label, Swishahouse Records and is expected to be released this August.

Like the original, the chopped-and-screwed version will feature the hit single, “Wait,” and guest appearances by Mike Jones, Anthony Hamilton, Teedra Moses, Jacki-O, Pitbull, and Adam Levine of Maroon 5, all in super-slow motion.

Chopped-and-screwed songs are original recordings with a drastically slowed pitch, which creates deep-voiced, dragged-out songs. This style of music is most dominant in Texas, where it was pioneered by the late DJ Screw.

Ying Yang Twins' U.S.A. (United States of Atlanta) chopped and screwed will hit stores on Aug. 9.
