Like how much do you put into it, and what have you sacrificed for it?

Like for me, shit means a lot. Like in HS you kno how 4.0 is best GPA you can get and shit, and in freshmen yr, mine was like around the 3.7ish range.... which is real good. Like I did real good in my studies and shit, focused on it fully, wanting to go to a real good college, etc. Like i was good studend and shit..... I skipped a lot of classes tho near the end, and started slippin' a TINY bit then.... then my GPA dropped to 2.5 after Sophomore yr, cuz I really started slackin' more... and then halfway thru sophomore yr, in March I got interested in rap.
and then ever since that, I mean I just put all my time into my music. Like when I came home, I'd just go write, listen to beats and shit........ and then record. Trying my best to get better. And I'd stay up late doing that... so I was tired as fuck during school, so sleepin' thru classes, and not really payin' attention and shit... and really fucked up junior yr.... so my overall GPA is really low as hell... so that's why this yr, i'ma put off rap for a while and work my ass off to atleast finish my school yr strong, even tho it's prolly late.

but it's like I sacrficed a lot and put all my shit towards rap, and I mean my educational shit I kinda fucked, but I still got a chance, I guess, to fix shit.... but I mean, it's kinda like I HAVE to make it in rap or i'm fucked in life and shit.. inuno, it's jus i been doin' a lot of thinkin' like. "Do I wanna do rap? IS this shit for me?" cuz I ain't really much of an outgoin' person... like i used to be shy as hell when i was young, wouldn't talk at all. in kindergarten I had to whisper in the teachers ear to tell her somethin'. lool but now shit much better, but I still kinda have that... like I mean, and in rap it's like you NEED to be able to perform while ALL eyes are on you, and you're center of attention. So it's just like makes you think about what you're gettin' yourself into. And it doesn't help, that I got other issues as well. Like i got some "personal" issues to worry about, and then my parents always chewing me out about the rap shit, and then about college, then I got my school shit to worry about, and then at same time I gotta focus on my rap and shit. I mean, shit's too much for me sometimes.....

I mean it's jus like I need rap really too, I love doing it a lot tho, but I also need it really to succeed in life too. Sorry, but I jus had to let this shit out, cuz shit been goin' thru my mind soo much... so I'm jus wandering like what rap means for you and if anyone else feels same way.

Rap is a lot.

Being a Christian I feel that since rap is so big now, that I can use it to spread the word of God and how he died on the cross for our sins.

So rap is a lot. Other than that I do the same thing as SPul. I stay up til 2 in the morning writing to beats. Downloading beats. A lot of my time is dedicated to music now.

It's not that serious to me.

After high school I'm planning to enlist in the Marines, and so I don't even know if I'm going to be rapping after that. I do pretty good at school right now. I'm a junior and shit, and I like to learn.

Right now I just do rap for fun.
