They're crystal clear in the mids and lows where rap lives pretty much, but the higher highs aren't as sharp compared to the bottom 2/3rds. That's fine by me since I never use that region, but if you do, you'd want to go upmarket into the $200+ range. I've never been disapointed by em and if anything they have more bass endurance than most of my other monitoring equipment short of the Event TR8. Highly reccomended.
