The new hip-hop and rap movie "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" based on the life of 50 Cent has been pulled from a Homestead, Pa., theater where a man was fatally shot even though officials said they do not know whether the film was a factor in the slaying.

Loews Corp. decided to stop showing the rapper's bullet-ridden bio while the investigation is going on, said John McCauley, the company's vice president of marketing. "We're unclear whether there is a direct connection," McCauley said.

He said the company is doing all it can to make sure patrons are safe at the 22-screen multiplex in a popular entertainment-and-shopping complex just east of Pittsburgh.

Shelton Flowers, 30, had just watched the rapper's movie Wednesday when he got into a confrontation with three men in the bathroom. A fight ensued and spilled out into the concessions area, where Flowers was shot, police said. Authorities were looking for witnesses, and no suspects were immediately arrested.

They blamed the shooting on 50 Cent's movie and it was pulled in that theater later that day....WTF @ them blaming violence on 50. That's like a man getting carjacked and blaming it on GTA. There have been carjackings before GTA and there were murders before Get Rich or Die Trying. I highly doubt that the boys came out of the movie like "that was cool, lets go be like 50 and shoot someone." Anyways, they dont even have proof that the people involved in the shooting even SAW the movie. This is the first (and hopefully only) time i've come to 50's defense, but i honestly think its unfair to blame shyt on his movie.
