10/6 Hip Hop Charts

IP: 0D11 88C9

Climbing to the top of the charts is Three 6 Mafia at #3. Their latest offering, Most Known Unknown, hit the shelves last week and swept Hip-Hop off its feet. Their single "Stay Fly" is not only blazing radio and TV, but it's also a hot commodity in the bling tone arena. Soundscan records show that after a week on the shelves, Three 6 moved 116,007 units.

A couple of slots down in the 5th place is Late Registration. Kanye West's records continue to fly off the racks another week thanks, in part, to 'Ye's recent appearance on "Saturday Night Live." This week, Kanye pushed an additional 109,844 albums, bringing his total to 1,546,560 CDs.

Following in at No. 6 is Lil' Kim. Kim dropped the The Naked Truth last week with lyrics that are revealing. Although Kim is locked down, her album speaks for itself. Prior to its release, The Naked Truth received 5 mics from "The Hip-Hop Bible," The Source Magazine. In its first week on the market, Queen B sold 108,860 copies.

Next up at No. 7 is Sean Paul. Atlantic Records artist's The Trinity made history on the Billboard Charts with this release as the highest-selling reggae debut. Sean Paul will be "burning up" stages when he goes on tour this November. Paul's single "We Be Burnin" helped create the buzz for The Trinity to sell 107,462 LPs in its opening week.

Dipping down 6% at No. 10 is the Black Eyed Peas. The Peas' are still holding down the top 10 for another week with Monkey Business. According to Nielsen's Soundscan, the Peas are phunking up the charts with singles like "TK" and "Don't Phunk With My Heart." Their latest offering sold an additional 76,775 units this week. To date, their numbers stand at 1,617,155 records.

Grabbing the No. 15 spot is Young Jeezy. Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 has his fans focused and motivated. Jeezy's sales are boosting at a right time, just as he gets ready to celebrate his birthday next week. Snowman moved 54,139 CDs this week, to his total of 748,311 units.

Coming in the 17th place is The People's Champ, Paul Wall. Despite a drop of 32%, Paul had another great week! His album sales are explaining why the Swishs House rapper calls himself "the people's champ." In just three weeks, Wall has sold 293,856 units with 47,283 copies in sales this week.

Falling off of the top 20 radar at #21 is David Banner's Certified. Banner's numbers took a 54% dive this week in the charts. Although his numbers went down, Banner continues to contribute to the victims of the Katrina catastrophe. Certified sold 40,949 this week, totaling 130,631 LPs.

In closing, 50 Cent keeps stacking, T.I. and the P$C serves 25 and Bow Wow is still wanted. Moving up a few of notches to #28 is 50 Cent. The Massacre is still a killer on the charts. This week, Fiddy buoyed 33,144 CDs. His sales to date stand at 4,601,202 units. T.I. and the P$C are holding down the No. 37 spot. The click's latest release, 25 To Life, suffered by 55% this week. P$C served up an additional 27,920 copies, to its total of 90,059 records. Lastly, Bow Wow remains wanted. Twelve weeks strong, and Bow's offering Wanted is still going strong. Look out for the young pup on the cover of the November issue of VIBE Magazine with his boo-pieces, Ciara. Bow moved 25,418 more units this week. His numbers cap off at 573,829 copies.

Next week, keep an eye out for another Atlantic takeover as Twista's The Day After and Trina's The Glamorest Life look to hit the charts. Also, be on the look out for Capitol Records newcomer Ebony Eyez's debut, 7 Day Cycle.
