First off, this site is good for most beginning Audio heads to elevate, period. I'm not a beginning audio head, but I'm still experimenting with styles and rhyme schemes. The feed here is positive enough so that you'll still see your mistakes, but are willing to continue to drop in order to elevate.

Neway...I was looking around RV today and some things seem real out of place.

#1...Why is there a member's mugshots? Seriously, who cares? After LK came back and started calling everyone who isn't ugly, ugly, it just turned into a place for people with low self esteem to SPIT on everyone else. What does it have to do with rap? I went on rapmusic dot com and "mugshots" isn't a featured forum like it is here. Does anyone care if someone said so-and-so was or was not "cute" in real life? NO. I say delete that forum.


#2...The LL is a popular place to post. I say make the entire LL a "anything goes" forum, but make it less obvious on the board. Strobe could make it a sub forum or make it hidden altogether.


#3...Phenom said this before and I agree with him. Make the Audio Section the premier section of this site. Post it at the top of the board and make it flash with neon glowing lights.


#4...Combine Hip Hop Talk and Album Reviews and assign someone to regularly post articles in there for review and discussion.


#5...Have a featured artist forum with interview and PICTURES. Again, member mugshots is newbie-ish. THe Featured artist forum would have interviews and info about up-coming projects from RV members.


#6...Strobe, you really need to be more clear about what's expected from your MODS and even how to become a MOD. Nepotism just isn't cutting it anymore because people who are willing to do things get overlooked. *awaits "Q, you just want to be a mod* comment. WRONG. I'm saying, why not post a stickie explaining what a MOD does, and how to become one relative to that particular forum?


**Anything that isn't rap related should be relegated to a sub forum and tucked away from main view. I'd like to see SONGS moved up to where the LL is now.

RV is a good site, but can be better. People who are here to just talk trash and not better the site through rapping need to leave, period.

For all the "trash" some think I talk, at least I drop regularly on this site and help mad audio heads with their music.

DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE OR LEAVE.


Also, naked pictures in sigs should NOT be allowed. I'm not talking about chicks in thongs. I'm talking about chicks makin their butts clap and seein the lips of their vaginas. It's inappropriate and should not be allowed.

i agree with about 75%. the last thing of the pussy lips showing just shows how this site doesn't even follow it's own rules. the main site rules state, no porn!! plus we have kids to immature for that, so i say if you wanna see it, then do it on your own time. i think gfx should stay were it's at, but audio would be nice if it was put on top. the article thing sounds dope as well

Nudity is not allowed on vb bulletin boards anyway. All you'd have to do to get it removed is pm strobe. . he runs a crap load of site's and I'm pretty sure he's up to date with the rules.

I don't see the problem with Member Mugshots. Yeah, some people will always be like, "Yo, you're ugly as shit!!" but if you really care what people like that think, then you shouldn't be posting your pictures anyway. Unless you already have that low of self esteem to where some random people on an internet rap forum can ruin your day, then I don't see you can't just put up with some of the random comments and wait for somebody who actually wants to know what you look like. It's not that big of a deal. I think it's kind of interesting to see people post all this crap and then see who is ACTUALLY posting. If that's not interesting to you, don't go to the forum. It's that simple.

I disagree with making the Lyricist Lounge a sub forum or an "Anything Goes" forum. I don't see the problem in having a forum where you can just post (for the most part) whatever you want and have active discussions with people on this site about something OTHER THAN rap. Yeah, this is a rap site but is it really that big of a deal to have a forum to just talk about anything? If you don't want to participate in the discussions, you don't have to.

I can't speak for strobe on your questions specifically directed towards him, so I won't. . but it's really not that hard to figure out what's expected from mods.

About the Member's Mugshots...

I used it as an example of how people come on this site and DO NOTHING. I'm saying that forum is for people to post pics, get a few comments, and move on. I'm looking there and people who do nothing but argue in that forum about "who is cuter" do the same thing all over this board. That's my issue. Those same people contribute NOTHING to this site in the way of raps, tutorials, or anything useful. So, self-esteem isn't the issue. I'm not about to argue with some ignorant S-O-B about whether or not people have said I look good in real life or not. How asinine is that? I almost don't want to come on this site because of the sickening B-S that plagues it right now. There's no motivation for me to rap. And, what's worse, this is a rap site! I'm not saying that's anyone's fault, but what's the point of celebrating trash talk when it isn't being followed up with battles, audios, raps, or anything related to rap?

Yea...I'm venting a little bit because I see this site turning into the bull --ish it was 2 years ago when people rarely dropped audios and just ran around talking trash. We've come a long way and I don't want to see a couple ignorant people ruin that.

^^^ I agree wit that. Audio should be the premier section becuase text is not at all 100% reflective of what someone could do in tha booth. Tru talent or skill is best shown through audio, not text.

Meh. Some of your ideas are good. Audio on top? Doesn't matter to me. Album Reviews is so rarely posted in that it's pointless anyway. Mugshots is cool, and actually can help with getting personals in battles, since in RL you clown on appearancs occasionally anyway. Leave LL because sometimes I don't ALWAYS wanna have t work on a song or something. It's nice to chill, but if you're so intent on people coming here and not doing anything ten have somekind of requirement to view the LL forums. But some people can't rap and want to just experience culture or write topicals or whatever so I think LL is fine. As for the mods, meh I don't even know who the mods are so fuck it. And I got a question...what exactly is contributing to the site? Cuz I haven't done anything but drop a few OMs and like 4 beats. So I guess by your standards I'm useless here. Go figure.
