Is there any way to safely slow down my metabolism a lil bit

Cos im lookin to build myself up cos at the moment im about 145 and i wanna build up more muscle but i heard the best way is to turn fat into muscle (correct me if im wrong). what sort of things should i do or eat to slow the rate my body uses up energy or whatever so i actually get a chance to do anything with the excess if ya feel me/

so yeh can anyone help me on this one?

Um, there really isn't anything you can do to slow it down healthily and still build muscle.

Instead of trying to gain fat then to convert it (A process that will probably not work because of the extreme strain it puts on your body), eat more protein and eat about, 2x more then you usually do. Eat a lot of carbs and minimize the fat you eat, and make a work out plan that will push you everyday. Don't kill yourself, but if you aren't sore the next day you didn't work hard enough.

The converting fat to muscle is a very hard process and it's also extremely stressful, believe me, I know. Not to mention, that only works for people who already have fat, and you need a lot of fat, cuz fat is basically fluffy and takes up a lot of space, but it's not very dense where as muscle is really dense and that's why it weighs so much more.

don't slow your metabolism. just consume more calories. GOOD calories, like startches and protiens, not candy and liquid candy (soda).

can't actually turn fat into muscle.

But, if you wanna gain muscle weight, you have to eat an enourmous amount of protein and calories to get any substantial gain. Otherwise, you'll probably gain just 5-10 lbs of muscle over the course of several months.

If you want to healthily increase your caloric intake to put on weight, I recommend:

1. whole grain pastas
2. brown rices
3. lean protein, LOTS of it

or sandwich turkey meat and hard-boiled eggs...

my bro was on a weight gaining diet with a nutritionist and he was eating like 18 eggs a day and a whole pack of turkey meat on each sandwich...

You can slow down your metabolism, but it's not safe.

AKA Starvation. That basically kills your metabolism cuz the body goes into starvation mode and your metabolism will slow down to the point where it barely uses any calories, which is why you are so tired when you don't eat a lot. Your body is trying to preserve your calories so you can survive. Then once it runs out of its storage, it starts eating itself. You gain all that weight back though.
