Humble is relative. Materialistic?...Wanting a Mercedes is materialistic? Ok...then, lemme humor you...

Someone who has NOTHING would say, owning my CHEVY is materialistic. If YOUR level of faith dictates that you live meagerly, then God will meet you on that level. My faith is on a level different from yours. God will meet me on MY LEVEL.

But, if my tastes offend you, I apologize.



I'll just be sure to drive a Honda around you.

Romans 14 talks about this very issue. During the time Paul wrote the epistle to the church in Rome, believers were disagreeing over whether or not it was acceptable to eat pork, even though priot Jewish law forbade it. So, Paul beautifully illustrated what their attitude should be regarding such conflicts of interest:


We must stop judging others. We must also make up our minds not to upset anyone's faith. 14The Lord Jesus has made it clear to me that God considers all foods fit to eat. But if you think some foods are unfit to eat, then for you they are not fit.
