why is it that actors could keep on makin movies, rockers keep on singin,
and music of all other genres (except pop) can keep on makin shit till they like a hundred years old but people hate when rappers keep on makin shit till they like 40???? what makes that so god damn wrong??? should we stop doin what we love cuz of a certain age we reached??? hell naww so tell me why rappers hated on for rappin at an older age?

cause rap music is a younger generation. You need to be able to appeal to your audiance. Rap music(sadly) is about being a player, having woman, money, guns, drugs not giving a fuck, living a non stop life.
But when we grow up, we dont live that life, most settle down, get married and have kids. They want to be a role model for there kids,so you cant make appealing music when your living in the hills with ya wifey and kids. In saying that alot of emcee's are still making music when they have settled down. Not to mention if you are forty and sitll a raw street cunt, drinking fortys, smoking newports and living hard, then you gone get laughed at for being a old ass bum. Also, rap music is stressfull, the music industry is stressfull, so why stay in a game getting stressed out, when ya got enough cash to sit back, press a few buttons, click the mouse a couple a time and be paid for co production of a the track. |

yeh, Its all good saying what rap shoulsd be. But the reality of it, rap music in the mainstreams ears is made to sell.
Whats selling these days?! Guns,money, chains, hoes, living tough, being street and all that. Now, someone whos living with his wife and kids and living happy, eating well and all that, is no longer street or can even portray that lifestyle in a fake feeble attempt to sale records. Rap music is purchased by younger weak minded kids, so the Majors want people that look up to in a "big brother" sense, not a old man, or grandad point of view. Basically it boils down to the fact, old men raping flapping there gums isnt what the mainstream want, so they arent gonan make music to sell. Theres no doubt alot will make music for themself, but the labels want what sells. |

ight i understand why gangsta rappers would stop in a way
but why cant they change they lifestyle and ultimatelly changing there music calming down getting a wife and having kids is a completely normal part of life it would appeal to a WHOLE diffrent fanbase that rap hasnt spread to before other and yes older people could relate and even the same fanbase they had back in the late 80s and early 90s cuz they fans is ageing too at an early age ur young and dumb so older people gon look at rap as dumb cuz thats why it appeals to the younger generation and the radio proves it wit all the crunk shit and all that but obviously they'd change they minds if we made music that they themselves could relate too feel what im sayin what it appeals too now dont mean it cant change.. people too afraid ta change shit since its a normal part of life its not like u gon be a sellout know what i mean frank sinatra calmed down during his career and he still had a big fanbase so why not..i dont listen to frank sinatra but i did a report on him at school
