I went on that e-book site Strobe recommended and found a book on manners and etiquette. I've always been fascinated by the "rules" of society and so DL'ed this book. I mean, I break social norms on the regular. But, I think it could be beneficial to learn social etiquette so that when you're in situations that call for them, you can adapt. It's practical as well. There are some people who hold "rules of etiquette" in high esteem. So, if you break any of them, they may not want to do business with you or deal with your compant/etc.
Anyway...it's interesting...I was just reading about how to introduce yourself and others to varying degrees of people. EXAMPLE: Did you know BEST SOCIETY deems it "tacky" to say, "Pleased to meet you" once introduced to someone? You're supposed to say, "How do you do?" ![]() |
